Getting here: Guayaquil (GYE) – The José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport is 194km (3.5 hr drive) to Manta. You will be greeted at the airport with a warm welcome from the school.
MANTA
Manta is an important port city on Ecuador’s central coast on the Pacific Ocean. It has some of South America’s most breathtaking beaches, and Manta is widely acknowledged for its water-sport activities, windsurfing, diving and sport fishing. It also serves as the primary port for tourist cruise lines and Ecuador’s tuna industry. It is located in a dry tropical forest with an average annual temperature of 25 degrees Celsius (77° F).
SPANISH SCHOOL
The school in Manta is a few blocks from Murciélago Beach, the city’s main beach and the downtown area on the third floor of a residential building.
Lodging is available with host families, including a private room, all meals and laundry service, or students can share a furnished apartment with 2 or 3 other students. The top floor of the school building is a residence offered to our students studying here. The school and the apartment have a large balcony that overlooks the city. There are classrooms for individual one-on-one and group tuition.
We organize different student activities such as dance lessons once a week and cooking classes every two weeks, included in the price of tuition. Students pay for local transportation and entrance fees, such as visits to nearby beaches, Machalilla National Park (Isla de la Plata), museums Pachoche Forest Preservation and Montecristi, where Panama hats are made.
PROGRAMS
SPANISH INTENSIVE
ONE-ON-ONE gives you individual attention consisting of 4 to 7 hours per day, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm and 1:30 -4:30 pm. It is a program designed for foreign visitors who need to gain the most from their short time with the School. The class includes intensive grammar, vocabulary, reading and pronunciation of the Spanish language with valuable exercises and conversation practice.

ONE-ON-ONE instruction including activities:
30-35 hours of Spanish classes with daily visits to the city and surrounding areas. Students can practice Spanish learned in the classroom through different excursions with their professors.

SPANISH + SURFING
Learn Spanish Private (one-on-one) or Group lessons combined with surfing classes at the best of Manta’s beaches: Murciélagom San Lorenzo, Las Pinas and more. The program includes 20 hours of Spanish plus 10 hours of surfing lessons with a qualified instructor. Equipment is provided.
SPANISH + KITEBOARDING
Learn Spanish One-on-one or Group lessons combined with kiteboarding classes. The program includes two weeks of Spanish, 20 hours per week plus 10 hours per week, 2 hours daily of a Kiteboarding Basic course (Level 1) with qualified instructors. Level 2 and Level 3 courses are $300 each. Equipment is provided.
SPANISH + VOLUNTEERING
Two volunteer programs are available for 6 weeks or 8 weeks: The price is $1,268, and the registration fee is included.
