Getting here: Mariscal Sucre Quito International Airport (UIO) is the main gateway to Ecuador and one of the busiest airports in Latin America. The city’s historical center is 40km and can take 40-60 minutes depending on traffic.
SPANISH + TRAVEL
Learn Spanish while traveling in Ecuador. Amauta Foundation | Amauta Spanish School offers a unique four-week program to learn Spanish while traveling to diverse parts of the country.
Participants will experience four destinations: In the Andes highlands: Quito, the capital city of Ecuador and Cuenca, both Cultural Heritage Sites. On the coast, the oceanfront city of Manta and the beach town of Montañita. They will spend one week in each location to experience different activities and adventure opportunities while continuing their studies with the same quality standards and academic follow-up.
ACCOMMODATIONS
In Quito, Cuenca and Manta accommodations are with host families and in student dorms in Montañita. Breakfast and dinners are included.
INFORMATION FOR FACULTY
Spanish lessons are taught in small groups (2 to 5 in each class*) within six ability levels from Monday to Friday. Tours and activities will also be held on weekdays.
*If the minimum number of students per class in each ability group is not met, we will arrange 16 hours of private one-on-one tuition.
Participants can choose a travel package from one to four weeks with the option to extend their course with private or group lessons in their preferred location upon request.
Students can apply for volunteer positions in humanitarian or ecological-related programs to complement their programs. Contact us for further information.
This program is available year-round starting on any Monday. Each school may organize additional activities such as parties, games, barbeques and other social gatherings for participants.
